Privacy policy

Effective date: June 1, 2026
Last updated: October 20, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Unifan Hong Kong Limited, trading as Carbon Court ("Carbon Court", "we", "us" or "our"), handles personal information when you visit carboncourt.com, shop with us, subscribe to our emails, contact our team or otherwise use our online services (the "Services"). It applies to customers, website visitors and other people who interact with us.

Our store is powered by Shopify. Please read this policy to understand what information may be collected, why it is used, who it may be shared with and the choices available to you.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may revise this policy when our business, technology, service providers or legal obligations change. The current version will be available on this page with an updated date. Where required, we will also provide notice of material changes.

How We Collect Your Personal Information

We receive information directly from you, through your use of our store, and from providers that support payments, order fulfilment, customer service and other store functions. The information involved depends on how you interact with us. You can choose not to provide information, although this may prevent us from completing a purchase or responding to a request.

What Personal Information We Collect

Information You Provide

  • Contact and delivery details: your name, email address, phone number, billing address and delivery address.
  • Order and transaction details: items ordered, amounts paid, payment status, delivery information, and return, refund or exchange requests.
  • Account and preference details: information used to identify your account, saved preferences, and marketing or privacy choices, where those features are used.
  • Support and review content: messages, photographs, reviews and other information you choose to send or submit.

Payment providers process the payment credentials you enter at checkout. We receive the payment and transaction information made available to us through those services. The precise payment information accessible to Carbon Court depends on the provider and payment method.

Information Collected Through Your Visit

Our store and the services supporting it may collect information such as your IP address, device and browser details, cookie or other online identifiers, pages and products viewed, referring links, cart activity and interactions with the store. Email services may also record delivery, opening or link-click activity where tracking is enabled and permitted.

Information from Service Providers and Partners

We may receive information from Shopify, payment providers, delivery and fulfilment partners, customer support tools, and analytics or advertising services used by our business. This can include payment confirmations, delivery updates, fraud indicators and information about interactions with our store or advertisements.

Meta Pixel and Conversions API

We use Meta Pixel and Conversions API to measure advertising results and support relevant advertising on Facebook and Instagram. These tools share shopping events, such as product views, cart activity and purchases, with Meta. Depending on our integration settings, shared data may include event and order details, online identifiers, IP address and contact details such as your name, email address or phone number for matching purposes. Conversions API sends information through server-to-server connections, so blocking browser cookies alone may not prevent this sharing. Use is subject to applicable consent and opt-out requirements.

Shopify Email

We use Shopify Email to manage email subscriptions and send welcome offers, product news and other marketing emails to subscribers. Information used may include your name, email address, subscription choices and relevant customer or order details. Email reporting may include delivery information, link clicks, unsubscribes and spam complaints, and email-opening activity where open tracking is enabled and permitted. You can unsubscribe using the link in a marketing email or contact us at ecom@dtc-house.com.

How We Use Your Personal Information

  • Orders and store services: to process purchases and payments, arrange delivery, manage accounts where offered, and handle returns, refunds and customer requests.
  • Customer communications: to answer questions and send order, payment, delivery and other service-related updates.
  • Email offers and updates: to deliver a requested welcome offer and send marketing emails where we have the consent or other permission required by law.
  • Store improvement and advertising: to understand how the store is used, measure campaigns and provide relevant experiences or advertisements, subject to applicable requirements and your privacy choices.
  • Security and legal obligations: to prevent misuse and fraud, resolve disputes, maintain necessary business records and comply with applicable law.

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link included in them, or contact us for help. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop necessary messages about an order, payment or account.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

Cookies and similar technologies support functions such as keeping items in your cart, remembering preferences, security, analytics and advertising. Their use depends on the services enabled in our store, your settings and applicable law.

You can manage cookies through your browser and, where available, the privacy controls shown on our website. Blocking some cookies may affect checkout or other store functions. Browser controls do not necessarily stop every type of data collection or server-side sharing.

See Shopify's Cookie Policy for information about Shopify cookies. Where applicable, you can also submit preferences through our data-sharing opt-out page.

Where applicable, our Shopify privacy tools treat a Global Privacy Control opt-out preference signal as a request to opt out of sale, sharing or targeted advertising for the device and browser sending the signal. Shopify may also apply an opt-out to an associated account where it can identify that association. These tools do not recognise other browser "Do Not Track" signals. Some privacy controls are displayed only in the regions where they apply. If a control is not available to you or you need assistance, email ecom@dtc-house.com.

How We Share Personal Information

Information may be shared, as appropriate to the purpose and subject to applicable law, with:

  • Shopify and store service providers supporting hosting, payments, security, customer service, email delivery (including Shopify Email), reviews, storage and analytics.
  • Fulfilment and delivery partners that need order and contact information to prepare, send and deliver a purchase or manage a return.
  • Meta through Meta Pixel and Conversions API for the advertising purposes described above, taking account of applicable consent and opt-out requirements.
  • Other recipients you authorise, or recipients where disclosure is necessary to comply with law, address a dispute, protect rights or security, or handle a lawful business transfer.

Certain advertising disclosures may be treated as a "sale", "sharing" or targeted advertising under some privacy laws, even where no money is paid for the information. Any applicable rights to opt out are described below.

Our Relationship with Shopify

Shopify hosts our store and processes information to operate, secure and improve the services it provides. Information entered into our store may be processed by Shopify and its providers outside your country.

We use Shopify Network Intelligence and enhanced services that incorporate information about your interactions with our store, other merchants and Shopify. Shopify uses this information to help protect, grow and improve our business and other merchants' businesses, including through personalisation and advertising. Information is shared with Shopify and other providers, which may be located outside your country, to provide these services.

For processing where Shopify is responsible for handling your information independently, Shopify manages the corresponding privacy requests. Read the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy for more information. Depending on where you live, you can exercise rights to withdraw consent or object to Shopify's processing through Shopify's Privacy Portal. Where applicable, you can opt out of sharing or targeted advertising through our data-sharing opt-out page, or contact us for help.

Reviews and Other Public Content

If you submit a review or other content for public display, the information shown with it, such as a display name, review text or photograph, may be visible to other visitors. Avoid including private contact, payment or other sensitive information in public submissions. Contact us if you need help with personal information in content you have submitted.

Third-Party Websites

Links to third-party websites, payment services or social platforms lead to services we do not operate. Their own privacy notices apply to information they collect. Review those notices before providing personal information on another service.

Children's Information

Our store is intended for a general adult shopping audience, not to solicit personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information inappropriately, contact us so we can review the situation and take appropriate steps. Any age-specific obligations will be applied where required by law.

Security and Retention

We use appropriate measures designed to protect personal information, taking account of the information involved and the services used. No online system or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. Please do not send full payment credentials or unnecessary sensitive information in ordinary email or chat.

Information is retained for the purposes for which it is needed, including providing services, dealing with returns or disputes, maintaining required records and meeting legal obligations. Different records may require different retention periods. When information is no longer needed and there is no legal requirement to retain it, it should be deleted or de-identified in accordance with the applicable retention process.

Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access personal information, request correction or deletion, obtain a copy, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent, or opt out of targeted advertising or legally defined sale or sharing.

To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity or an authorised representative's authority before responding. Some requests are subject to exceptions, including where information must be retained to meet legal obligations. We will explain a refusal where required and respond within the applicable timeframe. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Where available and applicable, you may also use our data-sharing opt-out page. For information handled independently by Shopify, use Shopify's Privacy Portal.

Privacy Complaints

Please email us with a description of your concern and enough information for us to investigate. We will review the issue, may request further details, and explain the outcome and any proposed resolution. If additional time is needed, we will let you know.

If you are not satisfied, you may be able to complain to the privacy regulator relevant to your location. In Australia, this may include the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC), where the matter falls within its jurisdiction. This policy does not limit any rights available under applicable law.

International Processing

Because our store and service providers operate internationally, information may be accessed, stored or processed outside Australia or your country of residence. This can include locations used by our business, Shopify, payment services and fulfilment providers.

Our business is based in Hong Kong SAR. Shopify currently identifies the United States as the primary hosting location for our store's data. Shopify and other service providers may also process information in other countries where they operate. Please contact us if you would like information about the providers involved in handling your information or international processing arrangements. Where applicable, international transfers are subject to protections required by law.
